What is Trimlight?
Trimlight is an innovative, patented, permanent lighting solution for homes, commercial buildings, patios, pool cages, gazebos, boat docks, community clubhouses and even food trucks! Our patented channel system secures the lights in place and hides the wires completely from view making them unnoticeable by day but bright and beautiful by night, allowing you to leave them up all year, every year. With virtually unlimited color and animation options, our programmable system gives customers the control and versatility to set their lights for every major holiday, sporting event, or any special occasion throughout the year. Trimlight systems also make great security and accent lights and they greatly enhance your home’s curb appeal as well as increase your property value.

What's the difference between 6", 9" and 12" spacing?
We offer 3 different spacing options for the LED lights/diodes – 6″ between the lights, 9″ between the lights and 12″ between the lights. Our most popular option for homes is 9″ but of course, up to you.
How much does Trimlight cost?
The cost is dependent upon a number of factors, including linear footage, number and size of roof peaks, turrets, if the install requires any additional equipment, etc. For an accurate quote for your home, business, pool cage or patio, give us a call.
How does Trimlight work? How do I change the color(s) and pattern(s)?
Our proprietary, user-friendly app works with both Android and Apple devices. If you’re not super tech-savvy, our app includes over 180 presents with holiday patterns and daily timers. You can create your own color combinations and set custom sequences. For more info about creating your own custom color combinations, visit our RGB Codes page under the Resources menu.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, we work with Enhancify. Enhancify works with dozens of the world’s largest banks and lenders and helps our customers find the best financing option for them. Enhancify offers financing options for customers with a 550 FICO credit score and above. Please contact us for more information on financing options, or visit our financing information page.
Do you offer any discounts?
We run many promotions and sales throughout the year. The best way to keep up with those specials/promotions is to follow us on Facebook. Because we are Veteran-Owned and Operated, we do offer a special military discount. (Seasonal discounts and the military discount cannot be combined. The greater discount prevails). Is Trimlight approved by my HOA?
Trimlight has worked with hundreds of HOAs nationally. Almost every HOA approves of Trimlight because of its sleek channel system that is virtually invisible by day and beautiful and bright by night. Is Trimlight energy efficient? Will it raise my electric bill?
For 3 to 8 hours of constant use of your Trimlight system, you would be billed $0.06-$0.20. Each Trimlight bulb uses just 0.6 watts of energy. Traditional Christmas lights use anywhere from 1000-1400 watts for the same amount of lights!
I have my Trimlight installation scheduled. Is there anything I need to do to prepare and what can I expect on installation day?
Some homes have electrical outlets in the soffits. We cannot guarantee that our channel will not cover these slightly after installation is complete. This all depends on how the original electrician installed the outlet and cover. If these items are critical for your needs. Please notify the installer on-site and they will do their best to work around them. If the installer is required to keep them open and accessible, the system aesthetics may be less than desirable if the channel requires to be eliminated to allow for full entry. A return fee will be charged for any trip back to remedy this after the installation is complete.
Although we strive to be as careful as possible, we cannot be held liable for décor that is in the way of the installation. Any lawn decorations, seasonal decorations, furniture, or other items should be moved prior to the installation. If unable to be moved prior, the installers will be careful around the items but will not be held liable for any damage to these items.
The installer will make the most logical option to get the wiring to the necessary areas. This could include accessing the attic or running the wire through an exterior mounted wire cover channel that will blend in with the exterior. This method is not completely hidden but may be the only option to get the wire to the appropriate areas. These channels could be mounted on rain gutters, siding, roofing, walls, downspouts, etc. Any additional requests where drywall is removed or other excessive means are to be taken, will be billed for time and material separately from the current price.
During the installation, there will be metal cuttings that can be sharp that fall to the ground. Our installers do their best to retrieve all of them prior to leaving the site but we cannot guarantee that all will be found. When walking around the area, please be aware of this and keep an eye out for debris. Avoid walking barefoot until all areas have been thoroughly inspected.
If you have roaming pets, please be mindful of their droppings prior to the installation. It is difficult for our installers to consistently check their shoes when going in and out of a home to access the attic and garage and can only cause a potential stain in a home. Please keep the animals secure and away from the installers during the installation.
Ladders are used extensively during the install and need to lean against the exterior of your building. This process can lead to scratches and other minimal damage to the exterior. Poor quality exterior products may not hold up to the weight of the ladder and technician and can cause damage. We are not liable for any damage to poor quality products or other hidden systems that are beyond our visibility of the installation including internal wiring, low voltage landscape lighting, flashings, security systems, photocells or timers, irrigation systems, audiovisual wiring, etc.
It is best if you have downloaded our Trimlight mobile app and watched our user video to ensure a basic understanding of the controls. The installer will be able to answer any questions during a brief tutorial. Any additional tutorials that are needed, contact your Trimlight sales representative for additional help and guidance.
You installed our Trimlight system and I’m having trouble utilizing the app. Can you help?
How long does Trimlight last?
Your Trimlight system comes with a lifetime product warranty. The lifetime of Trimlight depends on how often it is used. On average, your Trimlight system will last between 20 to 25 years (assuming it is only used during nighttime hours). It is graded for 50,000 hours. If your system is left on all day and night, it will significantly reduce the lifetime of the lights.
What happens if a light goes out?
Since your system comes with a lifetime warranty, if you notice one or more of your lights out, please fill out our Repair Request Form and the faulty part will be covered by the warranty. Our labor will be covered in full for the first 2 full years from your installation date.
Can I use Trimlight with both Apple and Android devices?
Yes! The Trimlight system works with both Android and Apple devices. It will also work with most Mac computer systems since they are App driven. It will not work with most PCs.
How many patterns can I save in the Trimlight app?
You can save up to 30 patterns in the Trimlight Edge app. You will receive an error message if you try to exceed 30 patterns. You can always delete some of your current patterns to save new ones.
How do I rename or delete a pattern?
You can rename or delete a pattern in the Trimlight app by clicking on the clock icon in the bottom right corner where you will see a list of current patterns. Swipe left on the pattern you would like to rename or delete.
How do I perform a soft reset?
Unplug your Trimlight controller for 1 solid minute, then plug it back in. You can also cut power to your controller by pulling out the green cube next to the blue or green light for 1 minute then plug it back in. This should clear any error codes in your controller without deleting your saved patterns or timers.
Can I pair Trimlight to my home network?
Yes the Trimlight system has the capability to be paired to your home network. However, keep in mind that we cannot guarantee Trimlight will pair to your home network based on many variables out of our control such as type of router/modem, firewalls, potential obstacles, interference from other devices, etc. The Trimlight controller does have an internal Wi-Fi signal so if you cannot connect to your home network, you can connect to the internal Wi-Fi directly. However, you will lose some of the functionality (music, cloud connection, etc) if you’re not paired to your home network.
